This is my account.
Two years, in my own words, with the receipts inline. June 2024 through August 28, 2026. If a claim on this page is load-bearing, it's a clickable link to the exact PDF, transcript, WhatsApp export, audio note, or repo file that proves it. If it isn't linked, it's testimony, and I say so.
I'm writing this because I sent Boundless my written counter on August 7, 2026. It's now August 28. Eight days ago George told me he'd pick this up after his personal mediation on Wednesday. Wednesday came and went. Nothing.
I'm not neutral about this. I built the work. I put my money and my time into it. I trusted the people I was building with. What I'm not going to do on this page is invent anything. Everything below either has a link next to it or is marked as mine.
Liz introduced us.
Our story starts with an art-agent introduction. Liz Smith and Vaitiare Gout of Smith Vaitiare set up a first Zoom between me, George Goldsmith, Ekaterina, and Liz on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at 4 pm UK time. Rosie Dent handled the scheduling from George's side. That was the first time I met George.
Three months later I signed a referral agreement with Smith Vaitiare. Liz was my active art agent that year. There was no engagement between me and Boundless in 2024. Just the door being opened.
George wrote the mandate himself.
Fifteen months of quiet on the Boundless side, then Rosie wrote to say George very much enjoyed our first call and wanted a follow-up. What matters is what came next. On September 4, 2025, Allan wrote to me for the first time and sent the Boundless intro deck and a lossless link to the 38-minute Boundless music piece. Then on September 17, 2025, George wrote to me from Kyoto and put the whole thing in one sentence:

Founders don't put a sentence like that in writing to a vendor. That sentence is what the two years is built on. The full email and message record from Sept 2025 forward sits in the master evidence index.
October 2025 was the first Ibiza trip. Four days at George's house, on my dime. I presented. Bob Dougherty from Soundtrip joined the working sessions. We talked through the pop-up lab, the sanctuary vision, the physical space. In early November I opened the "Emotional AI Due Diligence" thread with Bob and shared four foundation documents including my Empathic Art manifesto and the VERA framework. Bob replied in detail. That thread is what made the weekly rhythm from November forward possible.
Eight months of weekly calls. That's not a vendor.
From November on, there was a standing weekly Zoom. Sometimes George. Sometimes Allan. Sometimes Bob. Same recurring invitation. Rosie managed my calendar. My time went on Boundless time. I was inside the working group.
The evidence for what those calls actually were is in the eleven Zoom transcripts Otter and Zoom generated across the year, in the participants' own voices. The Boundless Studios × Eyal Gever series. The auto-transcripts sometimes hear my name as "Al" or "Yal" — that's a transcription artifact of "Eyal," and the surrounding conversation makes it obvious every time.
Since May 2026 I've been fully on Boundless. I closed my other work. That's now in writing on the WhatsApp thread in my Aug 20 reply to George. George hasn't contested it in the eight days since.
George wrote: "I assume we will cover all expenses."
Before Ibiza 2, on June 9, 2026 at 18:56 LA, George wrote to me on WhatsApp:
Hi Eyal, we had a call scheduled and missed you. Rosie will be in touch for scheduling a new time. We are meeting from 26 to 28 June in Ibiza with multiple team members. It will e a combination of planning and executing. We are also planning a boat on the 29th. Two things in one message. Boundless would cover expenses. We'd talk about other terms.
Neither happened. I paid for both Ibiza trips myself. The Ibiza 1 itinerary (October 2025) and the Ibiza 2 invoice (June 25-26, 2026, USD 1,568.96, Sylvie Argaman) are on file. Both on my card. Never invoiced. Never reimbursed.
The Ibiza 2 sessions produced the planning content that became the Boundless launch plan and the Sanctuary vision doc dated June 28, 2026.
The frame George set, in his own voice, on July 16.
On July 16, 2026, on a call with me, George set the entire compensation frame. Four pieces, one meeting. The audio note is in the archive. Verbatim from the transcript, pulled into the Zoom evidence extract:
And so, look, I think that if we're going to create value inside of Boundless, this will need to be an asset owned by Boundless. So, that would lead to there is a there, there's IP. There's IP on that, there's copyright on the music, there's IP on the chaos engine. So we'd have things that become an investable entity. Otherwise, it's a nice art project, right? [...] So I think that the best way to do that is to put it into boundless and then work on the structure of equity share or equity and royalties. Later in the same call George offered the role directly:

Structure: equity plus royalty, with lawyers. Cash element: benchmarked in the same call to Suvi's ten-hour-a-week consulting rate. Role: artistic director, parallel to Dominic. That's the frame George put on the table. His words. His numbers. His role name.
The July 30 proposal, in George's frame, in one document.
Before flying to Africa for his vacation, George asked me to write a proposal for what I thought was the right deal. On July 30, 2026 I sent it to George, Allan, and Rosie. Ten pages. Prepared for George Goldsmith, Active Chairman and Co-Founder, Boundless Studios, from me, Art Creative Director. Cover email: "Here is the proposal. Everything we have been talking about, in one place, for you to read."
That evening at 20:15 LA, on WhatsApp, George's first reaction landed in writing:

An hour later, at 21:15 LA, George framed the whole task in writing:

Mailtrack showed him opening the proposal repeatedly across the next six days. No reply for a week.
Same document. "Unfundable."
On August 6, 2026 at 00:07 UTC, George's reply came. His verdict on the same document he called super thoughtful seven days earlier was one word. Unfundable. He attached a Claude-generated "Investor Implications" memo he'd run on my proposal against the full Boundless context set. He asked to focus on the app side.
Rosie set a call for the same day. We met at 18:00 IDT. I recorded it. Two lines from that call, in my testimony, stay with me. George at 33:32: "he's really attached to what he's done." Bob at 34:52: "there's nothing stopping him from creating his own art in some other context." The full Aug 6 dev-call transcript and recap are in the archive.
On the same Aug 6 call, on the record, Allan said the web app was done and Bob said the C module was outputting the same numbers as the web app's Bluetooth Muse integration. Integration was solved. The quoted passages are in the Zoom evidence extract.
The Aug 7 counter is George's frame, quantified.
The next day, on August 7, 2026 at 18:40 Jerusalem, I sent the full written counter to George and Allan. Three pages. Every structural concession the Aug 6 memo asked for was on the page:
- Retainer down from €12K to €10K a month.
- Equity down from 3.0% to 1.0%.
- €500,000 App engine buyout. €310K baseline plus €190K ownership premium.
- 3.0% net revenue share on the app.
- Live and Sanctuary track locked to a trigger, price deferred to the trigger.
- License-fee stacking, minimum guarantee, monthly license fee, improvement grant-back. All removed.
Read it against George's July 16 framing. Retainer for the consulting element George benchmarked to Suvi. Equity for the ownership element George asked for. Royalty for the licensing stream George named. Live and Sanctuary for the future-revenue mechanism. It's George's frame, in numbers.
On August 8 at 01:09 UTC, George replied in four sentences: "We appreciate the thoughtful response. We will respond early next week."
The response never came.
I was in Mallorca with my family Aug 9-15. I stayed on. On Aug 12, George wrote on WhatsApp: "Hi it's been a busy time. I will send a response to your revised proposal on Friday. Hope you're doing well and will see you in less than 10 hours."
Friday didn't come. Aug 13 was the standing dev call, the one call I've missed in the entire project. I listened to the recording from Mallorca and built the Boundless Empathic Art Decisions PDF. Every group decision. Every piece of feedback. My own reservations set aside where they needed to be. I sent it to George, Allan, Bob, and Jacob on Aug 15 from Mallorca. That evening I moved to Venice for the Biennale.
On Aug 14 George wrote: "I need to spend some time with Allan, Bob and Jacob to get their input before I can share my response early next week. Allan is moving house so it has been challenging to get everyone together. We're aiming for Sunday or Monday."
From Venice on my first day, Aug 16, I sent Jacob the full integration package. Four repo docs, the Decisions PDF, fourteen Q&As, George, Allan, and Bob on CC. Same day, pushed to the repo. Jacob replied: "Thanks Eyal, I will be working on integrating, and will be great to talk to you about the details."
Sunday was going to be the response. Then Monday. On Aug 18 the Boundless staging site went live at right-goblin-619418.framer.app. Nine people on the About page. Seventeen artists in the band roster. I wasn't on either. The FAQ mentioned "your personal art (coming soon)" with no artist named.
By Wednesday Aug 19, I'd heard nothing back. Not on the proposal. Not from Jacob on the integration. Not from anyone on the Decisions PDF. On Aug 20 at 07:10 IDT I sent George a short WhatsApp: "Good to hear about Laura. What's her role going to be?" He read it. The double check mark is captured in IMG_3556 in the WhatsApp screenshot set. He replied at 21:16 LA that evening.
Aug 20, 21:16 LA. The reversal.
Hi Eyal, let's focus on the commercial and timing. For now, I would hit the pause button as Laura comes up to speed. I can't justify the cost until we have a better understanding of product market fit. Laura and the team are working on that. Bob and Jacob are doing all their work for equity so don't create this same level of risk for Boundless and me. I'd like to pick this up until I'm through my personal mediation process next Wednesday. Two things collapse in that message.
One. The frame George set on July 16. On July 16 the structure was equity plus royalty plus a cash consulting element benchmarked to Suvi. On July 30 the same document was super thoughtful and the task was how to create an investable entity. Six weeks later the cash element is recharacterized as risk and I'm asked to move to equity only. That's a shift in the frame George set. Not a rejection of my number inside the frame.
Two. The comparison to Bob and Jacob. Bob and Jacob's arrangement is theirs. It isn't comparable to mine. I came in as an internationally recognized artist licensing my Empathic Art work, my IP, and my engine, with my time on top. That's the transaction. It's not employment. Trying to fit it into an employee-equity frame collapses what this actually is.

George hasn't written back on substance since. Eight days. IMG_3559 in the WhatsApp screenshot set, captured Aug 28, shows the thread with no incoming bubbles from George after Aug 20 21:16 LA.
George's message said he'd pick this up after his personal mediation on Wednesday, Aug 26. Wednesday came. Wednesday went. Nothing.
The launch didn't move. The pause only applied to me.
George's Aug 20 message said Boundless needed to pause "until we have a better understanding of product market fit" and that "Laura and the team are working on that." Eight days later, on Aug 27, Allan sent the invite for the next dev call. His Notion agenda for that call carries the launch schedule verbatim.

Same dates that existed before the "pause" message. Not one moved. The Aug 27 agenda contains zero mentions of PMF, product-market fit, pause, hold, or a Laura-led product assessment. The word "pause" does not appear in the document. The word "PMF" does not appear. The name "Laura" appears once, as an expected attendee, with no product-assessment role attached.
The agenda's stated goal, in Allan's own words: "Walk the new TestFlight build, close the art-generation decisions with Eyal, set the pricing lock so App Store review can start." Every art-generation item on the agenda maps to my work: Chaos Engine output sampled at intervals, color palette from check-in/check-out, image transformation from EEG, Z-axis on openness, no-EEG fallback via the existing web-app simulator. The team was scheduled to close decisions on my engine while I was out of the room.
What the two documents say together: the operational plan for October 10 was never actually paused. The launch is running on the schedule we set together. The pause applied to one thing. The compensation conversation. That is what the record shows.
The recordings stopped the same week the record started favoring me.
Every dev call in the recurring "VTC: Boundless app development" series was recorded by Otter.ai and Read AI for three weeks running. Aug 3, Aug 6, Aug 13. Both tools ran on every call. Notification emails hit my Gmail. Transcripts are in the archive. Quotes from those transcripts became the substance of my Aug 20 morning email to George and Allan.
On Aug 20, hours after that email went out, the next dev call happened. Read AI's dashboard on my account, in Read's own words:

On Aug 27, one week later, the next dev call. Same recurring meeting. Same tools. Read AI dashboard, same status line, verbatim:

Otter.ai, which had sent "shared conversation" and "Meeting Summary" emails for every prior dev call in the series, sent nothing for either date. Same sender address checked, same recurring meeting checked, same time-of-day checked. No emails.
The Read AI dashboard's Reports tab shows every prior call in the same recurring series recorded successfully. The side-by-side screenshot is on file: Aug 13 dev call, 7 participants, hosted by Suuvi Bacelar. Aug 6 dev call, 8 participants, my initials shown. Jul 16 VTC George & Eyal, 2 participants. All three recorded, all three in the Reports view. Then, two weeks later, both Aug 20 and Aug 27 sitting in the Incomplete view with the same reason line.
Two consecutive dev calls. Two independent AI recording tools. Both denied by the host on the same two dates. The pattern break started the same week I quoted the Aug 6 and Aug 13 transcripts back to George and Allan in writing.

Five weeks to launch. The About page doesn't list me.
Oct 10, 2026 is the announced launch. As of Aug 28, the public-facing Boundless staging site published Aug 18 shows:
- Nine-person About page. I'm not on it.
- Seventeen-artist band roster. I'm not on it.
- FAQ line: "your personal art (coming soon)." No artist named.
- Dominic Miller listed as Creative Director with a dedicated portrait, parallel to George's founder section.
The engine that produces the visuals on that site is 99.2% my code. 117 of 118 commits in the empathic-art repo. Roughly 44,637 lines added. Bob has one commit. Jacob has zero commits in this repository. The full repo authorship analysis is on file.
What the public site says on Oct 10 is a decision only Boundless can make. If the answer is that the About page and band roster and FAQ stay as they are, that's itself an answer to the partnership question. Better to know that now than on Oct 9.
